Born on April 13, 1937, Lynne was the daughter of Martin and Alice Anderson (née Dahm) and grew up in Philadelphia alongside her beloved brother, Martin “Skip” Anderson. As a young woman, she met the love of her life, George Joseph Hart, at the Concord Roller Rink in Philadelphia. Their love story began on skates and continued in marriage on September 14, 1957. Together they built a family full of warmth, laughter, and strong values.
Prior to starting a family, Lynne worked for both an insurance company and in the treasury department for the Pennsylvania Railroad. While raising six children, she devoted herself to her family and her community, volunteering at local hospitals, elementary school art classrooms, and daycares. Her energy, compassion, and creativity touched everyone who knew her.
Lynne had a wide range of interests that reflected her active and joyful spirit. She loved roller skating, sewing, and gardening, and was happiest cheering from the sidelines at her sons’ soccer games. She adored all animals—especially her cats—and found peace in beach days and boating adventures with her family. She also enjoyed golfing and playing tennis with her neighborhood friends and had a deep love for traveling and seeing the world. Whether close to home or abroad, Lynne embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Lynne is survived by her six children: George (Bonnie) of Winter Springs, FL; Donna Hunter (David) of Brevard, NC; Thomas (Lisa) of Ormond Beach, FL; James (Leigh) of Casselberry, FL; David (Laura) of St. Augustine, FL; and Robert (Molly) of Sandy, UT. She was a proud grandmother to Erica, Alex, Matthew, Colleen, Mason, and Sarah; and a great-grandmother to Josh and Eliza and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Skip.
Funeral services will be held on June 30, 2025, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach, FL, beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, with a reception at 12:00 p.m. at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynne’s memory to Halifax Health – Hospice Care Center in Orange City, FL (halifaxhealth.org), whose compassionate care was deeply appreciated.
Lynne lived her life with kindness, strength, and devotion to the people she loved. Her legacy continues in the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love always.
