Maureen McNair Futch passed away peacefully on August 9th, 2022 after battling cancer. Maureen was born Feb 10th, 1959 in Framingham, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Robert G McNair Sr. And Joy McNair (Tuttle). Preceded in death. Maureen had 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Maureen was survived by her loving husband Malley Edward Futch and daughter Jennifer Forbes (son in law Lee Forbes). She had three beautiful grandchildren, Marley, Alexander and Jack Forbes whom she adored and spoiled every chance she got. She also had three step children, Justin, Ryan and Shannon Futch.
Maureen graduated from Longmeadow High School and soon moved to Florida where she worked for the Army Corp of Engineers. She was medically retired and spent the remainder of her life being a stay at home mom and loving wife She graduated with an AA degree. Her favorite hobbies were listening to music such as Prince and Rod Stewart. She enjoyed reading a good book and drinking a nice glass of Diet Coke. Her favorite things to do were enjoy mornings on the back porch, sipping coffee and talking with the love of her life, Ed. Maureen adored her animals and always made sure they were taken care of. She adored her grandchildren and spent every moment she could with them. She enjoyed nature and feeding the birds and squirrels in her backyard. She loved shopping, the Boston Red Sox and autobiographies. Maureen can be remembered for her beautiful long hair, perfect nails that were always painted and beautiful smile. Her laugh would always turn into a snort and she would make the darkest times bright. She also enjoyed talking to her sister Laura on the phone. She was an avid collector of Barbies and many other things.
Although Maureen fought hard against cancer, she didn’t let that stop her from showing her beautiful smile and soul to the world. She always looked at the bright side of things and would reassure you everything would be just fine. Maureen was a forgiving person and had the biggest heart. She would often talk with strangers and bring them comfort.
She will be missed so much by those she left behind. If you had the chance to be loved by her, consider yourself blessed.
In lieu of flowers, Maureen would ask you to send donations to the Flagler County Humane Society. She adored animals and would always help when she could.
