Melanie, in her youth, was active in school sports and cheerleading. Her love of nature and creative spirit were evident throughout her life and will be deeply missed. She had a deep passion for Kiwanis and especially enjoyed working with the youth the organization serves.
Melanie was a devoted wife, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Tom; her sister, Peggy Wilmot; her sister-in-law, Susie Marsh and her husband, Joe; her niece, Sunny White and her husband, Jonathan; her niece, Stormy Skye Jacobs and her husband, Andrew; her nephew, Justin Marsh and his wife, Krista; her niece, Kayla De La Torre and her husband, Oziel; and her faithful dog, Gracie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Kase, and her mother, Betty Kase.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Melanie to the Florida Kiwanis Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maitland Art & History Museum, located at 231 West Packwood Ave, Maitland, Florida, 32751. The event is scheduled for January 15, 2026, with doors opening at 4:00 PM and the service starting at 5:00 PM.
