Mike was born August 30, 1999, in Huntington, New York, a son of Michael Sr., and Nora Cristina Ferreira Aufiero.
He was raised in Huntington and East Northport NY, as well as Broomfield, CO and was a 2017 graduate of John Glenn High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of South Carolina and was a member of Iota Phi Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity. He was an avid Giants, Knicks and Mets fan. Mike was a music loving, high energy person who loved to be the light of the party. From DJing the frat lots and those early gigs at high school parties, music was always a big part of his life. Sound Royalties brought him a happiness that words cannot describe and the people there lifted him to new heights.
Besides his parents of East Northport, NY and Palm Coast, FL., he leaves two brothers Nick and Will, his grandmother, Nhora Ferreira, also known as Leeky, a nickname given to her by Mike, and his beloved dog, Cooper. He also leaves his aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends and colleagues.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, March 6th at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church with Rev. George Sankoorikal officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Aufiero home later this summer.
