Michaela was born August 25, 1988, in Crown Point, Indiana, a daughter of Michael and Paula Ann (Sykes) Leks.
She grew up in Amsterdam, NY – as well as living in Broadalbin and Gloversville, NY. She moved to Fort Collins, CO before eventually moving to Palm Coast, FL.
She enjoyed watching TV, chatting with her friends on Facebook and was an avid animal lover. She especially loved spending time with her mom and her beloved dog Ruby.
Survivors include her mother, Paula Leks, of Palm Coast; her sister, Shanna (Patrick) Williams of San Diego, CA; her nieces and nephew Ella, Mabel, and Henry Williams; her uncle, James Sykes of Wilton, NY; her aunt Elizabeth (Rick) Moore of Maryville, TN and her aunt Clarice Sykes of Westminster, MD. Several cousins and friends also survive.
Michaela was preceded in death, by her father, Michael Leks.
A memorial service and burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.
