Richard DeWitt Reed, 80, of Flagler Beach, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 29, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Zion, Illinois
with his loving parents, Winfield and Jerry (Romp) Reed, and sister Penny.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Reed, his daughters, Traci Indlecoffer (Greg) and Shelly Storm (Greg), five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his sister, Penny Sacco (John), and nieces.
A military burial with full honors will be arranged for immediate family. In lieu of a funeral, the family asks that all will celebrate Rick’s memory in a way befitting their friendship. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time.
