

Ronald Rudolph Ambrose the only child born to the late Oscar R. Ambrose and the late Thelma L. Lindsay on March 16, 1939 in New York, NY. Passed away on December 15, 2023. Ron was educated in the New York City school system and graduated from Brooklyn Automotive High School. Upon High School completion Ron entered the U.S. Air Force in 1957 and honorably discharged as a Jet Mechanic in 1960. After his military service Ronald went on to work as a sanitation police officer and moved over to Sanitation until his retirement. Ron is preceded in death by his wife Leanne Ambrose, his parents, Oscar and Thelma Ambrose, and granddaughter Sakina Rivers
Ronald met and married Leanne Rose Norwood, and to this union one child was born. Ronald was an extremely stylish man who loved clothes, jewelry, hats, westerns, music, motorcycles, thrift shops and having fun. After retirement Ron and Leanne relocated to Palm Coast Florida in 2006.
Ron was a member of the First AME Church, Palm Coast, FL and was baptized, under the leadership of Rev. Gillard S. Glover. Ron was also a member of the Motown crew; He loved being a cast member of the Motown and Mo shows. Each year he looked forward to entertaining his family and friends with his rendition of Barry White.
Ron is survived by his Daughter Roslyn Rivers (Michael), Orlando, FL, his son Christopher T, Ambrose, . (Elizabeth), North Salem, NY, his daughter Alliette Jones, Raleigh, NC, his son Aaron Ambrose (Shayna), Hollis, NY, and like a son Bernard Jones (Fiordeliza), New York, NY, 11 grandchildren: Tamara Rivers, Chanelle Rivers, LaShaundra Rivers, all of Orlando, FL Sade Smith, NJ, Beonkia Jones, Richard Johnson, jr., Danielle Rainey, all of Charlotte, NC Christopher R. Ambrose, Justin Ortiz, Ciera Ambrose, and Ethan Ambrose, NY 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Two sisters: Penny McClyde (Joe) Indianapolis, IN, Kim Ambrose, Queens, NY, one brother Daryl Ambrose, NY, NY, special grandson-in-law Eric Brand, two special friends: Jackie Wallace-Gonzalez, Newport News, VA, and Gloria Singleton, Palm Coast, FL, and a host of friends and family
A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2024, 12:00 pm at the First AME Church 91 Old Kings Rd., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
