Ronald E. Cook of Ormond Beach, FL. passed away on September 6, 2026. Ron was born on September 10, 1937 to Walter E. Cook and Sula Mae Gunn of Elvins, MO. He married Willa Jean Pickett on December 12, 1962.
Ron retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone from Saint Louis, MO with over 30 years of service. He was instrumental in changing dial-up service to touch-tone phone service. A proud veteran he served in the Navy for four years.
He was preceded in death by his son Curt, and a sister, Dorothy Wood. Survivors include his wife, Willa Jean and son, Craig both of Ormond Beach, FL, son, Chad (Amy) of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, Dale of Deepwater, MO; grandsons, Zachary, Jaeger, Simon, Mason, Lochlainn and Finnegan; Brothers-in-law, Gene Wood of Bonneterre, MO and Jerry Pickett of Advance, MO.
Ron will be missed by family, friends and colleagues.
