Ronald Jackson Spencer

Ronald "Grass" Spencer passed away at home March 22, 2022. Born May 25, 1947 in Caloric, WV, son of the late James and Mary Sizemore Spencer. Preceded in death by beloved son, Ronald Wess Spencer and brother, Donald Ray Spencer. He is survived by his former wife, Delena Wood Spencer Sparks, their son, Merle Spencer, wife, Michele, their daughter, Seana Johnson, husband, Don, their granddaughter, Miranda Spencer, their grandson, Donnie Johnson and their great grandchildren, Lily, Aurora and Daniel.

He loved Jesus and spending time with his family. His home church was Grace and Truth Ministries in Coal City, WV.

He was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and everything WVU. He was a member of Riviera Country Club, Ormond Beach, FL. He was a graduate of Mullens High School in Mullens, WV, where he lettered in multiple sports. He worked for Itmann Coal in WV for 19 years and then the State of Florida as a Corrections Officer. He traveled often to visit his family in FL and WV, including 3 brothers Jim Spencer, Bill Spencer, Rick Spencer, 3 sisters Linda Woolwine, Vicki England and Beverly Garretson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters in Christ.

He lit up a room with his smile, stories and laughter. Ronald will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
