Rose Mary Zubko, at the age of only 70, passed away on May 8, 2020. Rose Mary was born on December 28, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Lester and Mary Long. Rose grew up in Freeport, NY and attended Freeport High School. She later attended Nassau Community College for her RN license. Rose was a RN for over 40 years and was a dedicated recovery room nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage, NY for over 20 years. Once retired she and her husband became full time “Snow Birds” and split their time between Palm Coast, FL and Massapequa Park, NY. Rose’s favorite activities were traveling, (most recently to Disney World in Orlando, the California coast, and a Caribbean cruise), dining out with friends and family, as well as day trips on a boat or to the beach. However, her greatest love in life was being with her family, especially her three grandsons (“her boys”). Rose is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul; children, Deborah and Vincent Puglisi, Karyn Zubko, Kevin Zubko, Brian and Victoria Zubko; grandchildren, Nicholas Puglisi, Dominick Gambino, Christopher Puglisi and future Grandbaby Zubko; siblings, Lester Long, Linda Pinkel, Carrie Rhem; nieces and nephews, Kristin Cook, Brandon Rice, Kerri Coleman, Jennifer Belk, Alicia Littleton, Rachel Pinkel, Rebekah Pinkel and their families.
