

Russell "Russ" Reinke, 82, of Ormond Beach, passed away on February 19, 2024, at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. Born on September 27, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Raymond and Shirley Reinke.
Russ pursued his passion for business, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin. Throughout his illustrious career, he made significant contributions to the marketing field, working with esteemed food industry giants such as Campbell's, Kraft, and Ghirardelli Chocolates.
In 1985, Russ’s life took a beautiful turn when he met the love of his life, Patricia. Their connection was immediate, and they wasted no time in building a life together. They married in December of the same year and embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. In 1997, they settled in Ormond Beach, Florida, making Plantation Bay their home.
Russ was not only a titan in the business world but also a remarkable athlete and community leader. A skilled golfer, he achieved the prestigious honor of winning the King's Tournament three times and boasted an impressive six Holes-in-One throughout his golfing career. He was a valued member of several esteemed golf clubs, including Stonebridge Golf Club, Colonial Country Club, Fidler's Elbow Golf Club, and the Lake Mohawk Golf Club.
Beyond his prowess on the golf course, Russ was an avid bridge player from a young age and took great pride in maintaining his yard to golf course standards, showcasing his green thumb to perfection. His dedication to community service was exemplary, as evidenced by his seven-year tenure on the Flagler County Planning Board, during which he also served as chairman. Additionally, he served as the community Association Representative for the Kingsley Manor Neighborhood, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing the lives of those around him.
Russ’s patriotism was evident in his tradition of proudly displaying flags for every national holiday in his neighborhood, symbolizing his deep love for his country. Above all, Russ will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and extraordinary human being.
He is preceded in death by his son, Randall Reinke, and his brother, Robert Reinke. Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Patricia; loving daughter, Kristin, and her husband, Keith Jozwik; cherished granddaughter, Kylie Jozwik; step-children, Stacy, Wendy, Mandy, and numerous beloved step-grandchildren, friends, wonderful neighbors, and old golf buddies.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russ's memory to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, whose compassionate care brought comfort to him in his final days. Russ’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
