After retiring from real estate, he drove a school bus for 4 years for Sharps Chapel Elementary in Sharps Chapel, TN, where he was fondly known as "Mr. Bill." Bill, as his family and friends called him, was a man of integrity, respect, honor and wisdom. He was patient, hardworking and humble. He always lived for the betterment of his children's lives before his own. He was a man from the greatest generation of men who knew the meaning of duty, love and respect for God, family and his country. William’s love of the water and boating kept his family together by spending their summers in Mystic, CT living on their boat. He also enjoyed antique cars and planes, having taken his children to multiple shows for both.
Strong to the very end. He fiercely loved his family. Always ready to help. He stood tall and sure. William's love and dedication to his family was unfailing. His strength and his love for his wife, children and grandchildren will remain part of his legacy.
A special thank you to the people at Advent Health Hospice Care for their loving care and support during his final days. The family would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Crematory for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
