William James O’Neill 84, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at AdventHealth Palm Coast on August 10, 2023. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Charles James O’Neill Jr. & Catharine A. Fritzinger. William served in the United States Navy and served on both the USS Intrepid and the USS Tarawa. Upon his honorable discharge he worked for a brief time in Law Enforcement but spent over 30 years with Jersey Central Power & Light where he retired as the Division Engineering Supervisor. Originally residing in Neshanic Station, New Jersey, In 2004 he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area from Pocono Summitt, Pennsylvania. William earned his pilot’s license, he was also a Karate Sensei and he belonged to the Flagler County Horseshoe Pitching Club where he was a 2 time state champion and at one time ranked #3 in the World in his age division. Donations in his memory may be made to the Veterans Administration. Survivors include his beloved wife, Priscilla O’Neill; children, William J. (Donna) O’Neill Jr.; Justine McKee; grandchildren, Kimberly O’Neill, Patrick (Kelly) O’Neill, Taylor (Vinny) Brutto, Rieley McKee; great-grandchildren, Payton O’Neill, Jameson O’Neill, Domenico Brutto, Luca Brutto; his beloved dog Rusty and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends
