William Joseph Popowich 77, of Palm Coast passed away suddenly on May 25, 2017 at Florida Hospital Flagler. He was born on September 10, 1939 in Bronx, NY. His father William Francis Popowich Sr. and mother Evelyn Mary Harley. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a young man. William retired as a New York City Transit Authority Bus Driver after over 25 years of service. He moved to the Palm Coast area in 1992 and has a enjoyed a retirement life spent many hours fishing at the Flagler Beach Pier with his son Rob and grandson Tyler and never missing an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. He will always be remembered as a loving family man. Survivors include his children, Lorraine A. Villines and Jimmy Villines, Robert and Jennifer Popowich, William Popowich and his fiancé Crystal Hayes; grandchildren, Tyler Villines, Ryan Popowich and Aubrey Popowich and many relatives and friends. A memorial service with military honors will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3, 2017, 2:00PM at Herschel King Park, 1000 Grady Prather Cove, Palm Coast.
