

Zhi “Alex” Wei Cao, 22, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on November 26, 2025, in a tragic motorcycle accident. Born in Belize, Zhi immigrated to the United States at the age of 8, beginning a journey that reflected his resilience, bright spirit, and determination.
He spent seven years living in Jacksonville, Florida, where he graduated from Englewood High School in 2022. Zhi continued his education at Santa Fe State College, pursuing his passion for architecture and working toward a promising future he was excited to build.
Zhi was a talented, curious, and kind-hearted young man. He enjoyed playing video games, was exceptionally skilled with computers, loved working on cars, and had a keen interest in following the stock market. He took great pride in training his two beloved dogs—Azra, a German Shepherd, and Zora, a Husky—both of whom reflected his patience and gentle nature. His smile and laughter was contagious and his presence would light up a room.
Zhi is survived by his loving mother, Francisca Corado Cao; his father, Jiepeng Cao; grandfather, Arturo Corado; his girlfriend of seven years, Teo Hurt; his aunts Hener Raquel, Ady Corado, Ely Corado, Jenny Corado, Gelin Corado, Maria Corado, and Iris Corado; uncle, Gildardo Corado as well as many more cherished relatives and friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
Zhi’s life, though far too brief, was filled with love, talent, and limitless possibility. He will be remembered for his warmth, intelligence, and the deep connections he formed with everyone who knew him.
