Mrs. Della Greive of Flatonia passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the age of 105. Mrs. Greive was born January 9, 1905 in Moulton to the late Frank and Anna (Holub) Brosch. Della worked most of her life as a seamstress; she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society and KJZT.
Della is survived by her daughter; Loretta Freytag of Flatonia, 4 grandchildren; Kenny Freytag wife Sharon of Seabrook, Rhonda Freytag of Houston, Keith Freytag wife Cindy of Pasadena and Kirk Freytag wife Jenny of Fort Worth, 6 great grandchildren; Jennifer Freytag, Nichole Freytag, Hillary Freytag, Haley Freytag, Kolby Freytag and Kassidy Freytag, 1 great-great grandson; Wyatt Freytag, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Louis E. Greive(1984), 5 brothers, 5 sisters, and one son-in-law; Kenneth Freytag (2004).
Visitation will begin at 6:30 pm Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Rosary will be 6:00 pm Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday, November 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia with Rev. Joe Hybner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Praha. Pallbearers are Kenny Freytag, Keith Freytag, Kirk Freytag, Kolby Freytag, Ron Brosch, Patrick Bonorden and Jimmy Janek. Honorary Pallbearers are the Oak Manor Family Council, Staff and Employees. Aunt Della, you will truly be missed, The celebration has begun, Heaven's doors have opened wide.I can only imagine how happy your family was to see you.I know Grandma Laura Tupa had opened arms along with Uncle Henry the whole bunch.Wow to live to be 105,you' birthday parties will be missed. Loretta, Aunt Della will always remain in my memories. The chili cook-offs,. She was a great lady. I was proud to be a part of the family.As long as she was alive, I felt a part of Grandma Laura was still with us.
The birthday parties and Czech singing.
She knew every song by heart. Now she is home with God and the Blessed Lady.
