She spent her adolescence in Cat Spring and Bellville, Texas. In November of 1955 Joyce married Delphin Janecka, Sr. with whom she settled and started a family with in Cistern, Texas. They built a life ranching, a passion that Joyce continued after the death of her beloved husband in 1988. She was a master shopper and always an avid supporter of the grandkids’ activities through the years and made every event she could. I met Joyce when I joined the Cistern silly sisters red hat chapter. Joyce and Marie Vinklarek always came together. I was drawn to them because of their sweet spirits, sense of humors and their ability to manage family, ranches and farms as widows.
Later when I was going to Brenham for acupuncture treatments, Joyce would often be there at the same time. We always enjoyed our wait time together chatting about life. She was so dedicated to her family and such an amazing woman with knowledge of so many things. She was a tribute to her family and to those who knew her. I was disappointed that I was not able to attend her visitation or funeral. I pray her family finds peace & joy knowing she rests contentedly with the Lord.

My heart goes out to all of you in the loss of your mother! Joyce was a wonderful person and always so joyful with a beautiful smile! I know mom so much treasured their friendship and the things they did together after their beloved husbands passed. I have such wonderful memories growing up with all of you in our little country school and your mom and dad! There were some great parties that we as kids of course always loved!
I loved reading about Joyce and the cows, fences, flowers and rain... like some other mother I know :)
Our parents were great friends and they must be having a wonderful reunion in Heaven!!!!! God bless and love that one of a kind generation of people! They were exceptional hardworking, faithful people!
I'm so so sorry I won't be able to come due to this virus.......Please know my hearts and prayers and love are with all of you!
Love,
Patsy Vinklarek

Wanda, Buddy, David,

Aunt Joyce was a part of my childhood. So many memories. She was still very young when I was a kid. My mom, Lexie Davis, has told a story many times of the only time she saw Elvis Presley in the flesh with my dad, George Davis, Uncle Bubba, and your mom, Austin, 1955. Oh, to have been a fly in that room. Your mom was a very special lady. She loved life and her family to the hilt. And, oh, she loved your dad. All the condolences from the Davis people to the Janeckas and to all of Aunt Joyce's family. One day we all will meet with Uncle Bubba, Aunt Joyce, Grandma and Grandpa Janecka and many others in that Golden Flatonia in the Sky. Many, many blessings.
