My condolences to the Kerschner family.
I grew up watching Whitey and Shorty race. My uncle was Sock Valeriano who Shorty drove for. They were both heroes to many of us growing up in Berks County and will be for the rest of our lives.
When they switched to modifieds, and many of the big names invaded the Fairgrounds, the Kershners raced them wheel to wheel and gave no quarter. Often times being successful in their own right. I'm eternally indebted to the Kerschner brothers for the wonderfully exciting memories they've given to all of us racing fans over the years. To many of us in our youth, they were more famous than Hank
Aaron or Johnny Unitas. God bless them both and RIP Whitey.

We shall never forget Whitey's great smile and all the stories he could remember like it was yesterday.Besides being a good race car driver he became a good friend to all of who had the honor to know him.May he rest in peace in that race track in sky with all the drivers who went ahead him.

My condolences to Anna Mae and all of Paul's families. Paul was my fathers cousin and did visit way back then. I did hunt with Paul a few times as well as my brothers. He was a good guy and always fun to visit with. Also he was a breeder of small rat terriers and many persons knew Paul getting one of his small dogs. My blessings to his families. Rest in peace Paul. Sincerely, Don & Sonia Henry.

To Whitey's family,
A real gentleman driver and overall good guy. Though he will be missed, he is now a resident of the Eternal Home of Champions. May his family find grace and comfort in this time of grief. Rest in peace, Whitey!
