Benito served at General Motors for 25 years. He was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He was one of the founding members of the first Hispanic Catholic Churches in Genesee County.
Benito and his wife had 7 children Elodia (Jose) Mireles, Estella (Mark) Shepard, Louie (Sandra) Nieto, Benito Nieto Jr., Alonso Nieto, and Jesus (Theresa) Nieto. He had 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, watching Detroit Tigers Baseball, gardening, listening to Mexican music and loved joking with everyone. He just loved life.
He precedes in death by his wife Maria, daughter Delia and great great grandson Roman Mireles, his parents and seven siblings.
A visitation for Benito will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A rosary will occur at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 Coldwater Road, Flint, Michigan.
