BACON-McMASTER, Betty Lou – Age 85, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center of Cancer. Betty was born May 21, 1925 in Saginaw the daughter of Otto and Mary Boetcher. Through her life Betty loved music. She began playing piano at four years old and learned to play many other instruments. Over the years Betty played with Big Bands, the Orchestra in Phoenix and putting on musicals. While living at American House she entertained everyone with her piano playing. She also helped found the Corunna Ambulance Service and taught CPR and First Aid. Surviving are her children, Kenneth (Gloria) Bacon of Owosso, Richard (Kathryn) Bacon of Clio, Robert (Gail) Bacon of Waterford, Gary (Colleen) Bacon of Florida, Barbara (Randy) Sturtevent of Brighton, MI; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Bacon and Roderick McMaster. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 at New Covenant Free Methodist Church, 13176 N. Linden Rd., Clio, MI. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Tom Butcher will officiate. Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
