

RICHARDSON, Delphine Virjill (Jackson) – Age 73, of Flushing, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital. Family hour 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Family Worship Center Church International, 3280 N. Linden Rd., Flint, Michigan. Funeral services will commence at 12 noon, with Pastor Timothy R. Stokes officiating. Interment is at River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Mrs. Delphine Richardson now lies in state at the Reigle Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, Michigan. She may be viewed Friday, September 17, 2010 12 noon to 8 p.m. The family will receive family and friends 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Delphine Richardson was born October 1, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma to the late Emily Hamilton and the late Virgil Jackson. Delphine attended several elementary schools, but graduated with the first class from Willow Run High School with honors. Delphine attended Eastern Michigan University, later she attended practical nursing school, graduated and worked at St. Joseph Hospital. She completed her college as a Registered Nurse from Delta College in Saginaw, Michigan. She made her election and calling sure as she did the work of the Lord actively devoting herself to the church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Carrying on her legacy; husband of 48 years James L. Richardson, three children, Roderic Richardson (Vanessa) of Nashville, TN, Lamantha Richardson of Arlington, TX, and Ryan Richardson of Flint, MI; two brothers Vernon Jackson (Deborah) of Denver, CO, Garland Jackson (Olive) of Henderson, NV and one sister Shirley Jackson of Dallas, TX; one aunt Marjorie Marrow of Ypsilanti, MI; three beloved grandchildren Daniel Richardson, La’Shawn Richardson, VarSean Richardson; special host of cousins and friends including Eddie Marie Cornelius of whom she was the caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lashawn Richardson and one brother, Casper Jackson.
The Family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak, MI, her church family, Family Worship Center International, prayer partners, Dr. Sayed M. Osama, special childhood friend Fran Bicy and gardening buddy Norma McKelry.
