Dennis Lee Flader

February 20, 1954February 10, 2020

Dennis Lee Flader, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away on February 10, 2020, at the age of 65.

Beloved husband of Jean Flader; adored father of Stacey (Matt) Simpkins, Adam Flader, Andrea Flader; proud grandfather of Perry Schmidt, Tabitha (Dusty) Leadmon, Tyler Flader, Alyssa Gerow, Aiden Flader, Aerianna Flader, and Lucas Flader; great-grandfather of Payton Leadmon; dear brother of the late Vina (the late Joseph) DelSesto.

Dennis was born on February 20, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to the late Stanley and Muria Flader. He proudly worked at General Motors in the Engine Plant. Dennis loved to play golf, bowl, and play video games with friends and family. He was a dedicated family man and a storyteller of epic proportions. Dennis would enrapture people for hours as he told them the unbelievable stories of his life.

His street smarts, resourcefulness, wisdom, fierceness, dry sense of humor, big heart, and love for science were just a few of the many traits that make "Denbo" the man that all of his family and friends know and love. As he would always say, "You fight for truth, justice, and the American way". Live long and prosper.

Visitation with the family with be Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The service will follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1209 Coutant St., Flushing MI. There will be a luncheon at the church following the service."

The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the A.S.P.C.A. Fond memories may be offered via the online guestbook at ReigleFuneralHome.com

My heart goes out to you, Jean, and family. Dennis was one of a kind - such a great loss. I love that his art for story telling was noted among his other accomplishments. It was an impressive and entertaining trait to be sure - I remember putting one of his vividly described stories to paper for a college essay. I am blessed to have known Dennis and will always have such fond memories of him. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. - Teresa
