Donald Lee Alexander, 84 finished with his life on Earth on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Flint, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday December 27, 2013 at All Saints Catholic, Church, 4063W. Pierson Rd., Flint, MI . Fr. Anthony Majchrowski officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M., with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00 P.M. at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing, MI. Don married Elizabeth Lynch in 1950, they were married 39 devoted years. Don was lucky to find Mary Lou (Wiebeck) Rostecki and shared 23 devoted years with her. He frequently commented on how blessed he was to have two beautiful and loving wives. Don was born on February 5, 1929 in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Flint Northern High School and attended Flint Junior College. Don worked as a Die Maker at Buick for over 30 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. In the 1950ies he was a member of the Beecher Fire Department and was involved with Model Cities in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Don joined and became very involved with the Lions International Club. He was a representative to Welcome Home for the Blind in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was president of the Westwood Heights Lions Club, eventually being elected as Governor of district 11-D-1. Don joined the Catholic Church in 1995. After retiring, Don and Mary Lou moved to Harrison, Michigan. Don was active on the Budd Lake Association and the Zoning Commission. He and Mary Lou also became active in The Moose, while continuing work with the Lions. They moved to Defiance, Ohio when his health began to decline,eventually returning to the Flint area for his final months. Don is survived by (wife Mary Lou), Children, Catherine Stordeur and Robert; Beth Besaw and Paul; Ruth Alexander; Harold (Chip) Alexander and Andria; Stefanie Haist and Michael; and Christina Johnson and Richard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Edna Alexander, wife Elizabeth, brother Roland, sister Betty Rosenberry, son Donald Edward (Eddie). He lived a long full life dedicated to his family. Contributions May be made to The Leader Dogs For the Blind, Rochester, MI.

I am so sorry about your Dad. He was a wonderful Father and a very kind man. He did so much for others with his work in the Lions.
I'll never forget all of us driving down to Ohio , he was in the back of the station wagon for some reason, and suddenly he threw himself across the dashboard so he could be the first one into Ohio. Scared the wits out of me ! I still think of it and laugh every time I see a "Welcome to ...wherever" sign
