DOUGLAS, Fern Elizabeth – Age 93, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Mrs. Douglas was born September 19, 1917 in Sanilac, MI the daughter of Ami and Emma Atkins. Fern had worked at Fostrian Manor as a Dietician. Surviving are her children, Linda (Jim) Bennett of Florida, Barbara (William) Weinmann of Chesterfield, Pauline (John) Powers of Flushing, Richard (Pamela) Douglas of Flint, James (Judy) Douglas of Grayling; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her husband Everett Douglas. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reigle Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park.
