It is with great sadness that the family of Francis (Joe) H. Wilber announces his passing on October 8, 2018 at the age of 102 years. Joe was born in Vernon Center Minnesota and loved living on the family’s farm homesteaded by his great grandfather Hazard Wilber. In 1937 he moved to Holland, Michigan where he met and married Marie Dannenberg and together they raised three daughters. Joe served in the Army Infantry from 1944 - 45 where he received the Bronze Star. Joe loved to travel, play cards, read westerns, and garden. He never met a stranger and was blessed by the company of many friend to include Walt Rusch and Erba Hines. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, his daughter Juanita, his parents and eight siblings. He is survived by Judith (John), Dian (Ronald), seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. There will be a celebration luncheon of his life on November 10th 2018 from 2 to 4 at the Valley's Breakfast & Bistro, 1072 Elms Road, Flint, Michigan 48532.
