Last night as my daughter Elisabeth emotionally shared a memory with me of her Uncle Ted, she was struggling to even speak. I found myself saying to her, "right now these memories are painful honey, but in time you will find them comforting." After saying that, I realized that I had been purposefully pushing the many great moments my husband Dave, my children Blake & Elisabeth and I have shared over the years with my sister Carole and my brother-in-law, Ted. I knew that even though it would be painful, I had to think about some of those memories and realize how blessed we all are to have had Ted be such a huge part of our lives!!

So here's to you Ted - !! From dead fish down nightgowns, to shooting a 22 out your dining room window, military-style haircuts up North for you and Dave, plate-size blueberry pancakes, middle of the night trips to the casino, driving the worst parts of Grand Rapids to see if we could spot any ladies of the night, antiquing in Canada, boat rides, fishing, driving around looking for deer and arguing about "skippy" control (hahaha),..we were partners in business and partners in crime!!! How did we ever survive some of our crazy-town antics??

I will think of your often Ted, with a huge void in my heart!! I will think of you often Ted, with a lot of love!! I will think of you often Ted, and you will be missed brother!!!

I hold your family in my arms - I will try and give them comfort. They will miss you so!!

Sorry to hear of Teddy's passing. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family. Many of the family will not remember me. I shared happy memories with the family while growing up in Flint running with Phil and Jimmy Lechota.

May you rest in peace Teddy.
