IRWIN, James E. – Age 84, of Flint, died Friday April 15, 2011 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth. Mr. Irwin was born November 17, 1926 in Flint the son of Harry and Leota Irwin. He served his country during W.W.II with the U.S. Army. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Irwin worked for 33 years at General Motors as a Shop Committeeman and Safety Man retiring in 1985. In 1947 James married Helen Redlick and she survives him. Also surviving are children, William J. (Marsha) Irwin, Gloria (Robert) Olszewski; grandchildren, Tracie Olszewski, William Irwin, James Irwin and Tonya Irwin; great grandchildren, Jacob, Chase, Bryce, Kaiden, Keely and Kailynn. Mr. Irwin was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny and Russell. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reigle Funeral Home.
