Linda was born on September 5, 1947, in San Diego, California, to the late Earl and Agnes (Perzinski) Lawlyes. For most of her life, she lived in Escondido, California and moved to Michigan in 2018. She was happily married to Patrick Cook for 49 beautiful years. She lived her life with love and generosity, which she shared with everyone. Linda found one of her greatest joys by creating art, which she also loved to share with others. From an early age, Linda aspired to be an artist and was exceptional at it. She crocheted, painted, and made teddy bears, bunnies and dolls. Over the years, she enjoyed entering art competitions. Although Linda loved creating art, reading science fiction books and cake decorating, she loved and cherished her family so much more. Her proudest moment was getting married and having her daughter, Katrina. Linda loved Maui, Hawaii and also loved listening to Hawaiian music by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole, and Blue Hawaii was her favorite Elvis movie. Linda was a loving wife and mother, who treated everyone with kindness. She will not only be remembered for her artistic abilities, but for her loving and generous heart she shared with her family and friends.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Katrina (Michael) Sosnowski and siblings Connie Cornelius and Bill Lawlyes.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Patrick and her parents.
