Mabel D. Blagg

BLAGG, Mabel Dean (Miss Mabel), 86 of Stockton, CA passed into her new life of peace and comfort on November 3, 2015. Mabel was born to Lily and Joe Woodruff in Arkansas October 13, 1929. Of her 7 siblings, she is survived by her “sis”, Delca Blanks in Batesville, AK. and her brother, Wayman in Memphis, TN. On February 2, 1947, Mabel Woodruff married Orban Jackson Blagg (Bud). He had returned to Arkansas after serving in the US. Navy during WWII. They married in Arkansas, and later moved to Michigan. They raised three children predominantly in Flushing, just outside of Flint, MI. Larry Joe Blagg - 67, who lives in Los Angeles, CA. Danny Lee Blagg - 64 and the father of Mabel’s twin granddaughter’s Tammy Lee and Tracy Lynn, living in Owosso, MI. and Melissa Blagg - 58, who resides in Stockton, CA. Mabel lost her husband in October of 2002 to cancer. A year after his death, she moved to Stockton to live close to her daughter, and enjoy a warmer climate. Mabel was a faithful member of Faith Baptist church in Stockton. Her friends and family can sum up who Mabel was in just a few words. She was outgoing, sweet, kind and loving and compassionate. She was, non-judgmental, patient, had a quick smile and easy laugh. She loved easily… and was so easy to love. As a mom, friend and neighbor, she not only touched people’s hearts…she enriched them. Mabel will be buried next to her husband in Michigan. Her daughter plans a remembrance ceremony in Stockton to be announced at a later date.
