

KEKEL, Margaret – of Flint, age 85, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Devine Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 2333 N. Elms Road, Flushing, Michigan, Fr. David A. Hannes, celebrant. Burial follows at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan where the Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Margaret was born August 12, 1925 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Dobrovolska) Kekel. She was employed at GM SPO retiring as an Executive Assistant. Margaret was a lifetime member of the McLaren Regional Medical Auxiliary and was a past member of the Industrial Business Girls Club of Flint. She also was a lifetime member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and typed manuscripts for the Library of Congress in Braille. She was also an avid golfer and Bingo player. Surviving are: nieces and nephews, Linda (Jim) Vuillemot of Swartz Creek, Pat Moody of Grand Rapids, Peter (Shirley) Kekel of Kentucky, David Page of Durand and Cheryl (Tim) Kitchen of Davison; cousins, George and Mary Dunich, Julia Bisaha, and Pauline (Richard) Norman; several grandnieces, grandnephews and numerous other cousins. Margaret was preceded in death by: brothers and sisters, Peter, Julia, Helen, Mary, Steven, Anna, George, John, Joseph and Frank; and favorite nephew, Stephen Dale.
