

Mary Lou Alexander (Rostecki) - Mary Lou was born in Rhodes, Michigan to Herman and Agnes Wiebeck on August 29, 1932. She graduated from Flint Central High School and worked as an Internal Auditor at Buick for over 29 years before retiring in 1988. She married Casimir “Casey” A. Rostecki in 1965, they shared over 24 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death in 1989. She married Donald L. Alexander in 1990 and they enjoyed over 23 years together before he passed away in December 2013. During her tenure at Buick, she was involved with the Industrial Business Girls and editor of the Financially Speaking paper. Over the years, she has given her time to several organizations including the Mott Foundation Stepping Stone Program, Amica Societas Sorority, St. Michael Byzantine Altar Society, 8 & 40 Femmes, Daughters of Isabella Mater Salvatoris Circle #23, St. Anthony Society, Moose Lodge in Harrison, and Defiance 13 Club. She is a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Chapter 8, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 64, All Saints Rosary Society, and the Fenton Lions Club. She enjoyed volunteering in the Country Store at her senior living facility and looked forward to daily conversations and welcoming the new residents. She loved spending time with her family making memories and cherished her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her loving nature, beautiful smile and being a friend to everyone. Her motto was you need to be a friend to have a friend and she had many. The family would like to thank the staff at MediLodge of Montrose and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care and support. Mary Lou is survived by her children; Christina (Richard) Johnson, Stefanie (Michael) Haist, Catherine (Robert) Stordeur, Beth (Paul) Besaw, Ruth Alexander, Harold “Chip” (Andria) Alexander, grandchildren; Nathan and Valerie, David, Harold “Hal” and Jessica, Shannon and Moataz, Nicholas and Jill, Nicole and Anthony, Christine and Benjamin, Carolyn, Elizabeth, Jasmine, Meghan, Melina, and Sean, great-grandchildren; Lillian, Gianna, Ava, Nicholas, Jade, Ibrahim, Harold “Will”, sister-in-law, Joyce Wiebeck; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Agnes Wiebeck; husbands, Casimir “Casey” Rostecki and Donald L. Alexander; siblings, Irene Ford-Henschel, Louise Jensen, and Donald Wiebeck. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Reigle Funeral Home. The Rosary will be celebrated 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Robert Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Cremation will follow the service.
