Mary Louise Cross

Cross, Mary Louise, age 98, of Flushing, Michigan passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Angel Manor Assisted Living. Visitation will be from 11am-3pm on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Reigle Funeral Home - 5501 W Pierson Rd, Flushing, Michigan. There will be no service following the visitation. Mary was born July 14, 1924 in Bethesda, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha Tolbert. She married her late husband, Emerson Denzel Cross, on October 21, 1941 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. Mary and Emerson moved to Vassar, Michigan in 1954 and finally settled in Flushing in 1956 where they raised their family. Mary was employed by General Motors for 25 years. She was also a member of the UAW Local 659. Mary was the loving hub of the immediate and extended family. She loved hosting family gatherings in her lovely home and also cooking for these events. She also loved traveling with her loving husband. She will be missed dearly and remembered forever. Mary and Emerson were married for 74 years. Surviving are their four children: Larry (Debbie) Cross of Gaines, Bob (Leanna) Cross of Gaines, Marcia (Michael) Unger of Flushing, and Charles (Doris) Cross of Davison; and their 12 grandchildren: Christine Bacholski, Robert Cross, Laurie McBride, Ryan Cross, Tammy Cross, Larry Cross II, Todd Thompson, Carrie Emrick, Jennifer Womble, Rebecca Perry, Kelsey Cross, and Devin Cross.
