MEDEMAR, Mary Lee – of Flint Township, age 82, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at her home. Cremation has taken place, a memorial gathering will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Library, Heartland Hospice, or the YMCA. Mary was born June 15, 1929 in Flint, Michigan. She married Charles Medemar on November 28, 1952. She was an avid reader, active walker and was an active swimmer at the YMCA, she was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Surviving are: children, Steve (Joni) Medemar, Shelly Fortenberry, Judy Medemar, and Jack (Diane) Medemar; grandchildren, Leah Fortenberry, Kyle Fortenberry, and Zack Medemar; twin brother, Robert Burton, and older brother, Jack Burton; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Medemar was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, younger brother, Richard Burton and sister, Jeanne Meisenbach.
