BAIER, Paul – Age 91, of Flushing, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mr. Baier was born June 6, 1919 in Flint the son of John and Agnes Begovich. Paul served his country with the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He loved gardening, working around his yard, reading and watching hockey and baseball. Paul was always at his grandchildren’s and great granddaughter’s sporting events. He retired from Consumers Power Company. On November 14, 1947 Paul Baier married Theresa Gubancsik and she survives him. Also surviving are children, Jacqulyn (Thomas) Sublett of Flushing, Paula Bueche of Flushing, Duane Baier (Lana Reiter) and Buffy of Chandler, AZ, Thomas Baier of Flushing; grandchildren, Michelle Bueche (Bob Jakeway), Jennifer (Ted) Henry, Matthew and Jocelin Baier; great granddaughter, Jaime Jakeway. Mr. Baier was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Chuck and sisters, Agnes and Helen and his cats Buffy and Mandy. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Reigle Funeral Home. As were his wishes there will be no service. There will be a procession to Flushing Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tuesday with visitation from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff of Hyde Park Assisted Living for their wonderful care.
