I am so sorry to hear this sad news. We grew up together as our moms were friends since they were teenagers. I just spoke with him after many years as his mom just passed away in December. I have many, many fond childhood memories of him and our families. My first trip to Cedar Point our families all went together and Marty and I rode the Blue Streak, that was the newest roller coaster the year we went. You will be missed.... be sure to tell your mom and my mom I miss and love them as well, I am sure you are all playing Bingo!

Marty will be greatly missed. Many of my fondest memories as a youth were spent spending summers and holidays with Marty building camps, ice skating and just having fun.

Prayers are with the family during this time of sorrow. It is very hard to loose a loved one, but God knows best.
Didn't know Phil very well, but knew his Dad Phil and the rest of the Venable Family.
God Bless!!!!!

I have only known Phil for 6 or 7 years. We met when he did some work for me. I have a real admiration for his craftsmanship and resourcefulness. We hit it off on the basis of some common interests for which he showed great enthusiasm. Phil was a good, honorable, and decent man as well as a great friend. This world was a better place with him in it. He is missed and fond memories will live on.

When I think of childhood memories, Marty is very often a big part of those memories. Our dads would take us fishing or hunting together. neither of us had brothers, but I always felt we were as close then as brothers could be. Marty had an easy smile and a fun heart. You will be missed Marty, always.
