

Ralph Dimond age 95 died November 22, 2016 at his residence. He and his wife and beloved partner Judy owned and operated the West Side Coney Island, mutually enjoyed by countless friends & neighbors for 41 years, retiring in 1988. He then opened Ralph’s Lawn Mower Repair, and also worked for Reigle Funeral Home for 20 years, retiring in 2011 because of illness. Ralph was born in Flint September 3, 1921, and lived in Flint all his life. He graduated from Northern High School in 1938. Ralph “Scotty” was an avid bowler, he proudly bowled with his dad and three of his brothers, he sponsored and bowled with an all “Left Handed Team”, as well as several other teams. Left to cherish his memory is wife Judy of 71 years; daughters Sally (Russ) Edwards of Mt Morris, Gloria Jean (Jerry) Tufford of Zellwood, FL; daughter-in-law Bonnie Dimond of Freeland, MI; eight grandchildren Jasmin (Tim) Hoffman, Mickie Dimond, Jill Dimond, Rob Edwards, Penny (Jeff) Blackburn, Jeannie (Rick) Dodge, Rusty Edwards, and Kim (Randall) Taylor; eight great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; niece Helen (Don) Westphal, nephew Sam (Darylee) Coplin, and many other nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; son Mike Dimond; and brothers Virgil, Kenneth, Alfred, and Albert Dimond; and sister Alice Shearer. Family is grateful to his devoted caregivers, granddaughter Jennie, Renee, Candy, Lisa, and the entire Medical Team Hospice. Cremation has taken place, and Memorial Service to be determined at later date. Gifts offered in Ralph’s memory may be made to Medical Team Hospice, or charity of your choice.
