To the Fialka family, I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have many good memories of Bob from my childhood. We were good friends before we even started school! I remember taking the bus to Detroit together to see him off when he joined the Coast Guard. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Bernice (Klocko) Povlick

Dear Joe: We were sorry to hear about our Uncle Bob's passing. We have many good memories of all of the Fialka family gathering on Sundays at Grandma Fialka's home with all of our cousins, aunts and uncles. Uncle Bob was a talented writer and appreciated good humor, too. We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and sending special blessings to you during this difficult time.

Uncle Al, Aunt Virginia and Joe~
I am sorry for the loss of your brother and father. I know he was greeted by my grandmother, Rose Dingo, and his many other siblings already in heaven. I remember being at my grandma's house on Keyes Street and Uncle Bob would come over to visit. Grandma would have us (my sister Tracy and I) take his coat and rubber galoshes. Once he let me try them on! I learned about rubber galoshes from Uncle Bob! Grandma would let us serve him refreshments and then we would sit and listen to him talk about his day. I trust that the Lord is welcoming Uncle Bob into paradise and angels and saints are helping him get settled.

To Al Fialka, from a co worker at Buick salary, I am sorry for your loss. Your brother was a Northern HS valedictorian, the highest accomplishment, one to be most proud of.

Cousin Joe,
I was so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Cherish all the great memories. Over the years, people would occasionally ask me if I was related to Bob Fialka who worked for The Flint Journal. Then, they would proceed to tell me some great stories and what a smart guy he was. I remember the smile he always had when we gathered for holidays with all our aunts, uncles, and cousins when we were young. I am thinking of you at this difficult time. God Bless.
