Willie Mae Hall

HALL, Willie Mae – Age 87, of Flushing, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hall was born July 20, 1924 in Arkansas the daughter of William and Virgie (Selvidge) Boyd. She graduated from Grubbs High School in Arkansas in 1944. In 1946 Willie Mae Boyd married Tommy Hall in Arkansas and in 1948 they moved to Michigan. For 33 years she worked at A.C. Spark Plug. After retirement she traveled extensively with the A.C. retirees, on color tours, to casinos, Hawaii and Washington D.C. She also traveled with her sisters, Jimmie Lou and Sara Beth to Europe, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, to visit their brother, Butch and his wife Heidi and their family and across the United States. With her best friends Mabel and Liz, Willie Mae would go shopping and visiting their favorite restaurants. She was a member of North Flushing Baptist Church where she was very involved and taught Sunday School. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Willoughby; granddaughter, Tracee (Robert) Denicolo; great grandchildren, Hunter, Rylee, and Tanner Denicolo; sisters, Jimmie Lou (Arnold) Wells of Davison, Sara Beth William of Arkansas, Anne (Frank) McCoy of Arkansas; brother, Boyce (Sarah) Springer of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her infant son, Philip Boyd Hall, husband, Tommy Hall, brothers, Stanley Boyd, Gene Boyd, Jesse Springer, sisters, Oda Kesel, and Stella Madge Moore. Friends may visit the family from 11 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reigle Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to North Flushing Baptist Church.
