Albert Seow, 78, of Fresh Meadows, NY, passed away unexpectedly on January 29th. Albert leaves behind Inez (Ho), his loving wife of over 50 years. Albert is survived by his son, Howard and his wife Michele of Moorpark, CA, and their children Kiana, Mikaela, and Malia; daughter Helen and John Crocker of Pembroke, Massachusetts; and daughter Nicole Huang and husband Ted of Falls Church, Virginia, and their children Ella and Tyler. Albert is also survived by his brother Percy of Bradenton, Florida; brother Lindsay and his wife Dorothy of Miami, Florida; sister Phyllis Tenn of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; brother Vincent and his wife Janice of Winter Park, Florida; sister Theresa Fox of Eaganville, Ontario, Canada; brother Thompson of Malvern, Arkansas; sister Carmen Chen and her husband William of Miami, Florida; and sister Millicent Seow of Phillipsburg, New Jersey and numerous nephews and nieces. Albert was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies before coming to New York where he married Inez, and started their family. Albert enjoyed a successful career as an accountant, but will be most remembered by all who knew him as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Albert’s first passion was his family, and he worked tirelessly to ensure they enjoyed the life he knew they deserved. He loved entertaining family and friends at his home over holidays, during which times he would skillfully prepare sumptuous dishes inspired by his native Jamaica. Albert often said that his family meant more to him than anything. He was fiercely proud of his three children, and they grew to reflect their father’s love in their own families. His warm, gracious and generous spirit lives on in his vast family, as well as all who were lucky enough to call him “Friend” and “Uncle”.
There is no public funeral service planned at this time. We kindly request that you refrain from sending flowers. A celebration of Albert’s life will be planned in the near future.
