Alexandria Alice Blasso of Flushing passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on February 20, 2020 at her home in the presence of her family at age 80. A devout Catholic, Alice was a generous woman whose acts of goodwill and kindness touched the hearts of family and friends alike.
Alice is survived by her three devoted children, Barbara Blasso Chiamulera, son-in-law Aldo Chiamulera, Richard Blasso Jr., and Robert Blasso; two grandchildren Francesca and Christopher Chiamulera, and her brother Michael Trzaska as well as many nieces and nephews.
Alice was born in 1939 to Stella and Leo Trzaska in Chester, Pa. She grew up in College Point, NY. and married her soulmate of 50+ years, Richard Blasso. They married in 1958 at St. Fidelis and bought a house in Flushing where they lived and had 3 children. Being a mother and grandmother was Alice's most treasured role. She was always present in their lives and her love will live on forever.
Alice lived her life by being the epitome of kindness, faith, humility, generosity, and consideration for others, especially learning challenged children. She loved being a teacher. She was a special ed. teacher for over 30 years and loved to see young minds developed and learn to think and discover new things every day.
Alice challenged life and made every memory meaningful.
