Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Ana Beatriz Salcedo, passed away on October 21, 2024, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Born on April 19, 1933, in Las Lavas, Villa González Santiago, Dominican Republic, Beatriz was the youngest of seven children and cherished her roots in her hometown. She was the last surviving child of seven and loving aunt to her siblings' children. She leaves behind her paternal sister, Ana Mercedes Lopez, the last surviving child of their father.
Beatriz raised four children, Maricela, Maria Luisa, Theresa, and Victor Hugo, with unwavering love and devotion. When she moved to New York, her family grew, becoming a large and close-knit circle she treasured above all. Her heart swelled with pride at every family milestone, always there to support with a bright smile and tears of joy. Her family was truly her greatest accomplishment, one she nurtured with endless love.
Beatriz had many passions, from gardening, where she found peace among her plants, to cooking, filling her home with delicious aromas and gathering loved ones around the table. She loved latin coffee, music and soap operas that reminded her of home.
Those who knew Beatriz will remember her warmth and compassion. She was more than just the matriarch; she was a cornerstone of her family and a friend to many. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind especially her grandchildren Julio, Oscar,Sven, Heidi, Shayla,Ashley and great grandchildren Antwan, Elijah, Xavier, Michael, Mason, Preston, Noah, Naylani and Rayshawn Jr.
Beatriz will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the love she gave so freely will never be forgotten.

Querida madre, abuela, bisabuela, tia, y amiga, Beatriz, falleció el 21 de Octubre del 2024 en Springfield, Massachusetts. Nacida el 19 de abril del 1933 en Las Lavas, Villa González Santiago, República Dominicana, Beatriz era la menor de siete hermanos y apreciaba sus raíces en su ciudad natal. Ella era la última hija sobreviviente de los siete y la cariñosa tía de los hijos de sus hermanos. Deja atrás a su hermana paterna, Ana Mercedes Lopez, la última hija sobreviviente de su padre.
Beatriz crió cuatro hijos, Maricela, María Luisa, Theresa y Víctor Hugo, con amor y devoción. Cuando se mudó a Nueva York, su familia creció, convirtiéndose en un círculo grande y muy unido que valoraba por encima de todo. Su corazón se llenaba de orgullo ante cada evento familiar, siempre presente para apoyar con una brillante sonrisa y lágrimas de alegría. Su familia fue verdaderamente su mayor logro, de la cual estaba muy orgullosa.

A visitation for Ana will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 86-45 Edgerton Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11432. A burial will follow on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Rd, Kew Gardens, NY 11415.
