

Anthony Fosco, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 1st after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Josephine Fosco, who lovingly took care of him, and changed his life for the better. Anthony was the cherished father to Laura Fosco Marceca (Salvatore Marceca) and step father to Anthony Russo (Nancy Russo). Anthony was a proud and dedicated grandfather to Roberto Antonio Marceca and step-grandfather to Olivia Russo. He is also survived by his sister Lena Farrugia, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His adoration to his late wife Mary Fosco was heartwarming as they worked together to raise a family for 36 years until Mary passed away in 2007.
Anthony was a man of great caliber in values and character, dedicated to his family and friends. His kindness, generosity, and love for all who knew him will be deeply missed.
Anthony immigrated to the United States from Abruzzo, Italy and his family founds roots in Astoria, Queens where they taught him the meaning of hard work and family values.
Anthony was a proud Vietnam War Veteran who served in the United States Army, and a dedicated 40 year alumni of Con Edison. His commitment to his work and his military background was unparalleled.
The family of Anthony Fosco will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at St. Kevin's RC Church, 45-21 194th St, Flushing, NY 11358. An entombment will occur Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated in memory of Anthony Fosco to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
