Antonio Vecchia

Antonio was born on November 25, 1945 in Paternopoli, Avellino, Italy to Pasquale and Marianinna Vecchia.

He was known for spending his time watching his favorite pastimes soccer and hockey. He was a huge Juventus and New York Rangers fan. When he was a young man in Italy, he played with the junior Juventus squad with some of the great Juventus players. Nothing, however, compared to the time he spent with his family, especially his “beautiful” wife which is how he would always introduce her and his 5 grandchildren.

He also loved travelling to some of his favorite places like the Bahamas, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Florida. He never left his wife’s side and would always experience life together keeping their love strong with a marriage that lasted over 56 years.

Antonio is survived by his wife Frances, his children Anthony and Roseann, daughter-in-law Jessica, son-in-law Edward. He is also survived by his 5 amazing grandchildren Taylor, Matthew, Samantha, Nicholas, and Julianna. Brothers Gabriel, Angelo, and Orlando. He was preceded in death by his brothers Salvatore, Luigi, and sister Maria.

A memorial sevice for Antonio will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11358. A prayer service will be held from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
