

Carol A. Nassan, age 77, of Bayside, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday February 11, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Carol was born and raised in Manhattan, attending high school at St. Jean the Baptiste and college at Marymount Manhattan College before moving to Bayside, Queens to raise her family, after marrying Norman E. Nassan.
Carol enjoyed a long career teaching chemistry at Bayside High School for over 30 years. She cherished her family and spending time with them. Carol was an avid traveler who loved to explore the world and relax as long as possible in her favorite place, Kauai. She was a kind, loving and supportive friend to everyone who was lucky enough to know her. For the past 15 years, Carol’s greatest joy came from playing with her two granddaughters.
Carol was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Norman, and her parents Robert and Bridget Decker. She is survived by her loving son, Christopher (Karen) Nassan of Basking Ridge, NJ and her cherished granddaughters Caitlin and Bridget.
A visitation for Carol will be held on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358 (parking lot available for guests). A brief prayer service will commence on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the funeral home, immediately followed by a committal service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
For the safety of all guests, the public, and staff, we are asking everyone to please help us adhere to CDC guidelines. Face coverings will be required inside the funeral home, as well as at the cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend all services listed above. The funeral home will limit the number of people inside to 30 people at any one time.
