Bonacci, Caroline Anne of Queens, New York, was born December 30, 1961, and died October 22, 2022. Caroline was one of two daughters of Angelo and Mary Bonacci of Fresh Meadows. Caroline graduated from Queens College where she studied education. She then went on to work for various companies as a claims adjuster with a specialty in workers’ compensation cases. She retired in 2021.
Outside of work her interests were her cats (Bosely and Callie) and community theater. She attended in-person and remote services at the Marble Collegiate Church in Manhattan. Within the church community, she volunteered her time for many committees.
In April 2022 she was robbed in the parking lot of a local grocery store. Independent and feisty by nature, Caroline fought back her attacker, but she suffered a devastating injury from which she never fully recovered.
While Caroline never married or had children, she loved — and was loved by — her extended family, many friends, neighbors and co-workers.
A wake and religious service will be held at Quinn-Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY, on Nov. 1 at 10 am. Interment at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 17200 Booth Memorial Ave., Flushing, NY, will take place immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Caroline’s name to:
