Catherine, who goes by Kay, met her husband John (who predeceased her) at a dance and they were married in October,1946. Kay worked for the Navy Department, Stanley Home Products and St. John’s University. She has two children, five grandchildren (one deceased) and five great grandchildren. Kay enjoyed gardening, reading and daily prayer. She was blessed to live 101 years and celebrate her last birthday with family!
A visitation for Catherine will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. Mass of christian burial Saturday, October 26th, 2024 9:30 AM at St. Mel's RC Church, 26-15 154th St, New York, NY 11354. A committal service will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365.
