Chandra Patel

A visitation for Chandra will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 28, 2024 from 11:30 AM at All Souls Chapel and Crematory, 72-02 Astoria Blvd S, New York, NY 11370.

Chandra Patel, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, following a long illness. Born in Bamani, India, Chandra completed her high school education there before immigrating to the United Kingdom at the age of 19 to marry Hirabhai R Patel. Together, they had three children and moved to Pensacola, Florida, in 1979. In 1992, the family relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where Chandra established a successful 22Kt jewelry store. After retiring in 2006, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, until a stroke in 2017 necessitated a move to a long-term rehabilitation facility in New York.

Chandra is survived by her children, Sunil Patel (Patricia), Svati Patel, and Pallavi Patel, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Amrutha Thirumalesh. A devoted businesswoman with a passion for cooking, music, family, and travel, Chandra will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering pride in her family, and generous spirit.
