Just learned of Chris's death while in FL for the month of February, 2024.  We had only known him for the winter months two years as his neighbor at the Cocoa Beach Condo where we stayed in 2019 & 2020, but really enjoyed every meet-up with him listening to stories of driving a New York City bus and other life adventures.  What a smile!  What a pleasant personality! 
It was good to catch up with his daughter, Mary, remembering his life.

Ahh, Chris!!  Wow, 2 years have gone by already.  We have great memories and are thought about often.   You are dearly missed by all of us!!  We Love you Chris!!  May you R.I.P.

Our family remembers Chris fondly from time spent at our condo in Cape Canaveral Florida. We remember Chris as a happy positive man who was an avid swimmer. He would jump into the pool and swim the whole length of it in seconds. We enjoyed our many conversations with him.  His family was most important to him and he enjoyed going on cruises. Dear Mary,
It was indeed a joy and a privilege to have known your dear Dad, Chris. Ever since I met your mother Anne and Chris around 1977 in Indialantic, I hold very happy memories of a truly wonderful gentleman. I remember him bringing me to Jai Alai, to dog racing to the car racetrack in Daytona Beach. He was generous and kind. 
When last we met in Pompano Beach last summer he was as nice as ever. You will miss him so much as will all who ever knew him. He kept the faith. He ran the race. May he now enjoy his well-earned rest in heaven.

We are heartbroken to have learned about the death of your Dad/Grandad/confidant/friend. He is now with the love of his life,  your mother Anne, and with his adored children Christopher and Eileen.  Your father was an incredibly warm and caring spirit.  As you grieve, take comfort knowing that this very special man left a permanent imprint on the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is leaving a legacy of love and wisdom.  He loved you all unconditionally.  We are all better people having had your Dad in our lives and it was a great privilege to know him.
