In September of 2000, Danny joined us  on a trip to the Passion Play in Bavaria for 16 days. The group included my husband John Maher,  our friends, Joyce, Arthur , Al,  John S, myself and daughter Caroline.  Danny looked for chocolate icecream,  his obvious favorite, all over Germany and never found any.   The attached photo is from Zermatt under the Matterhorn - Danny and friend, Joyce.

Memories of Uncle Dan 

Uncle Dan enjoyed  visiting us in Houston.   One trip while he was in Houston, I had to notarize a document for him to travel to Acapulco from Houston.  When Uncle Dan was in  Houston for the Elks Convention,  he wanted to go to Gilley’s in Pasadena.  I drove Mom and him to Gilliey’s and of course he enjoyed his Gilley's beer.

 In 2009, Uncle Dan took myself,  my nephew Joseph, my sister Ann, cousins  Mary and  Cathy to New York City via subway.  Uncle Dan paid for everything the subway fare, the water taxi on the river and dinner.  

I also recall Uncle Dan was the one who brought all the fireworks out to Deer Park, NY when we had the  Fourth of July parties with all our relatives.

Rest In Peace  Uncle Dan we will miss your laughter! 

My Uncle Dan worked for the Long Island Rail Road. Sometimes he was assigned to the Babylon  Rail Road Station, when time permitted,  our mom would take us there to sneak a visit with him.  In retrospect, I believed he really appreciated that!
