Apologies for the lateness of this post.  For some reason, I thought of you today.  We used to work together about a million years ago at Medaes.

I just saw the obituary for your dear Mother from June of this year and thought I would send my condolences to you and your family.  Our Moms are everything.   So much love and warmth given and received.

I lost my Mom just prior on June 4 of this year, she was 92 and also a wonderful, well loved woman.    We carry the spirit of our parents forward.   I am sure that she was so proud of you.

I’m so sad you’re gone Nona.  Thank you Nona for all the attention and love you gave to me with Nono!  You always remembered my special occasions and holidays and always sent me a card (you never missed one). Thank you for the wonderful friendship you and Nono have always had with my parents especially dad. Its been so genuine and so loving!  
I hope I can learn from your will
And strength that you can fight for your life and not give up when hope doesn’t  feel or seem good, because you did that bravely.  Rest easy Nona now with peace and serenity.  My sincerest and dearest condolences to my Nono Costas and the whole family 🥲❤️🙏🏻

Dear Mom,
I am beyond heartbroken, I cannot believe you are gone. I wish I could find the words that would make this sorrow go away. 
We are comforted knowing that you are with giagia Efthimia and papou Tzimi, as well as giagia Paraskevie and papou Giorgios, in a much better place next to Jesus.
You have taught me so much in life. I'm so grateful for the way I was raised. You were never afraid to be my mother to put your foot down, to teach me right from wrong, 
to make sure I did my best. 
You always let me know I had a Mom who cared about me, who believed in me, who was there for me no matter what.

My beloved friend Despina, I miss you so much already.  Our beloved Despina inspired, and guided me spiritually.  Her wisdom and advice were helpful and always appreciated. She filled our home with individual  gifts for mr family-religious  books, Cd’s, and special order icons. Not one day goes by without us thinking about her.  I remember when I dragged my teenage son to our very first Bible Study Class twenty years ago.  At the time, Despina was stranger to us. At the end of BS class she approached my son with a warm smile, gave him a hug and said: “I want to see you in BS again next week.  Please don’t disappoint me”.  My son showed up the following week, and  the week after that, and so on.  He occasionally attends BS as an adult and says:” Mrs. Gounaris is the reason I began attending Bible Study”.  Despina was a blessing for our entire family. She will live in our hearts forever.  Thank you Mr. Gounaris for sharing her with me when we spoke at length on the phone.  May God give you the strength you need during this difficult time. May Despina’s memory always be eternal ✝️

     I can't begin to express my sorrow for the loss of Thea. She was a wonderful aunt and I will always remember her kindness and warmth, and how much she loved us all and of course, her love of all the animals. We can take comfort in the fact that she is at peace now in God's embrace and is in the company of Papou Tzimi, Yiayia Efthymia, her brother Giorgo, your beloved mother, and all those who she loved that left this world before her. O Theos na anapafsei tin psyhi tis, kai eonia i mnimi tis. Zo'i' se mas.
    What a beautiful tribute to Thea with all of the pictures spanning her life - she had a wonderful life with you, George, and Jimmy, and she left this world very happy knowing that she raised a beautiful family and accomplished much in her life.
